HPiVS is a UK Approved Body with a licence (number 1521) issued by the UK Government’s Department of Business and Trade to assess and certify for products being UKCA marked to the following regulations:
In addition to products, HPiVS’ licence extends to the certification of personnel and procedures for welding and brazing.
HPiVS’ licence covers all product, component and material types covered by these regulations. It also extends to all conformity assessment modules included in these regulations.
To earn the licence to certify, as described above, HPiVS must be, and is, accredited to the standards identified below by the United Kingdom Accreditation Serivce (UKAS).

Product Certification
ISO/IEC 17065:2012 Conformity Assessment – Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services
This accreditation applies to certification under the Pressure Equipment and Recreational Craft Regulations, specifically where conformity assessment module B, D, E, F, G or Post Construction Assessment is applied.
Inspection Body
This accreditation applies to certification under the Pressure Equipment and Recreational Craft Regulations, specifically where conformity assessment module A1, or A2 is applied.

Certification of Management Systems
ISO/IEC 17021:2015 Conformity Assessment – Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems
This accreditation applies to certification under the Pressure Equipment and Recreational Craft Regulations, specifically where conformity assessment module H is applied.
Certification of Personnel
ISO/IEC 17024:2012 Conformity Assessment – General requirements operating certification of persons
This accreditation applies only to the certification of welders/brazers under the Pressure Equipment Regulations.
