ABYC Statement of Conformity
HPiVS are certified American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) Standards Advisors. We issue the ABYC Statement of Conformity using the ABYC Compliance Audit Tool.
If applicable, we can complete this audit at the same time as we issue you with a CE or UKCA mark, which are very similar in content. This will reduce duplication and costs.
Does my boat need to comply with ABYC standards?
Complying with the standards is voluntary. However, choosing to hold a Statement of Conformity to ABYC standards indicates you have followed best practice for safety and reliability for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of recreational boats.
The standards are globally recognised. This makes certification a useful approach for manufacturers and boat owners who want to limit their liability. This is especially useful in territories where national standards are not available.
The ABYC standards are reviewed and updated annually.
